This is a fun tour for those who love adventure on wheels and adrenaline on the cold waters of Piuray Lake.
Full Itinerary
Day 1: Cusco - Morada de los Dioses – Piuray Chinchero - Cusco
This day begins with the pick up at your hotel at 8.30 am. We will leave the Imperial City of Cusco to go to the Senqa viewpoint from where you can see the Poroy Valley, we travel by car until we reach the novel attraction of Cusco “abode of the Gods”, in Quechua “Apukunaq tiyanan”. This place is characterized by its sculptures and carvings made in stone, varying from a face of 10 meters high to small marble sculptures. After about 30 minutes, we go by bus to the town of Cúper Bajo that belongs to the district of Chinchero, where we will visit the Piuray Lake, a beautiful crystalline lake with an approximate perimeter of 10 kilometers. Once settled in the camp we will have time to have lunch for 1 hour and then go to the shores of the lake to kayak in boats of 2 and up to 8 people, each with their respective paddles. For this activity we provide safety equipment (helmet, life jacket), and it is essential to know how to swim because it is established by Peruvian regulations.
Later we will start a new activity, this consists of taking a ride on ATVs around the lake, with excellent views of the lake and mountains from different points, ending all at the camp where we started the tour, in the same way we will provide them with the Equipment for this activity such as a helmet, gloves and an oxygen tank in case someone suffers from altitude sickness.
After that we have two options, those who like can stay overnight in our lodge on the shores of the lake to experience a quiet night and absolute silence and sunrise with a beautiful view of the lake, otherwise you can return to your hotel in Cusco.
Transport to Chinchero (Cúper town): 1 hour by bus from Cusco.
Distance of the ATV tour: 10 km.
Kayaking time on the lake: approximately 1.30 hours.

Depending on the number of people in your booking, additional people may join the trek to make a full group.
If you choose âprivateâ, no additional people will be joining your group, no matter the size.
Minimum booking size is two people; one person may book a group trek if Kimsa Expeditions is able to join that person with additional groups.
