Tour Overview
..Lares Trek is an ideal blend of cultural and natural beauty. We will enjoy the ecosystem’s challenge as well as the breathtaking view of the snow-capped Salkantay (6264m/20551f), the most representative mountain in the Vilcabamba mountain range. The walk transports us back to the Inca era and makes us conscious of the spirits of mountains like Tucarhuay and Humantay, both of which have peaks higher than 5000m (16404 feet).
Full Itinerary
Day 1: Tour Details
We organize this tour in shared or private service. With both services, we leave Cusco at around 8:30 am and travel through the spectacular Sacred Valley of the Incas. Our first stop is Pisac, where we visit the artisan market and the ruins. Then, we continue to the town of Urubamba, where we enjoy a delicious buffet lunch with international and typical Peruvian cuisine. After lunch, we continue with the trip to the Inca settlement of Ollantaytambo to visit the majestic archaeological complex and the town. From here our last stop will be Chinchero, an Andean agricultural town where we will be able to appreciate a demonstration of the elaboration process from start to finish of Andean garments where it is a great opportunity to be able to acquire them from the weaving artisans’ own hands. As a final part of our service we return to Cusco at around 6:30 pm.

Depending on the number of people in your booking, additional people may join the trek to make a full group.
If you choose âprivateâ, no additional people will be joining your group, no matter the size.
Minimum booking size is two people; one person may book a group trek if Kimsa Expeditions is able to join that person with additional groups.
