The Ancient Inca Road passes through the Machu Picchu National Park and offers you breathtaking views of the site as you pass through the Sun Gate! The renowned Machu Picchu Citadel is seen in the afternoon on the first day of the short Inca Trail Trek and may be visited the following morning! The journey was created for anyone who wanted to walk to Machu Picchu, the New Wonder of the World, and experience a portion of the Historic Inca Trail but had limited time to travel! This quick walk includes a night at a hotel in Aguas Calientes.
Full Itinerary
Day 1: Cusco- Km 104- Machu Picchu
We take the early morning train (optional panoramic train) from Cusco through the picturesque Sacred Valley to the trailhead at Km 104. The trail continues gently upward for approximately four hours until we reach the beautiful Inca WiñayWayna complex, where We stopped for a nutritious and filling bag of lunch. The subtropical flora and fauna surround us as we continue 2 more hours to Puerta del Sol or Sun Gate, from where we will have our first glimpses of Machu Picchu. We go down the mountain to the bus stop, passing through the majestic ruins, to take the bus to Aguas Calientes to spend a relaxing night in a comfortable accommodation.

Day 2: Machu Picchu- Cusco
After getting up early in the morning and having a healthy breakfast, we take the 30-minute bus to the Machu Picchu complex, where we will tour the incredible site with its spectacular architecture and mysterious temples, left by the Incas. A professional English-speaking guide will help us understand the sophisticated ideas and technology of this highly advanced culture as we make our way through the vast ruins. Once the official tour is complete, we will have enough time to explore the sanctuary on our own before returning to Cusco by train in the afternoon.
